Stress Fix Massage Treatment

The Stress Fix body treatment combines Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, foot reflexology, and acupressure techniques with a guided meditation to help the recovery process. The treatment features the Stress Fix aroma of lavender, lavindin, and clary sage, which is proven to relieve the feelings of stress.
Chakra Balancing Massage

The Chakra Balancing Massage is an innovative treatment that incorporates Aveda’s Chakra Balancing Blend Aromas and focuses on the seven chakra centers in the body using a variety of massage techniques, including deep tissue, foot reflexology, and energy work. The massage concludes with a guided meditation to help enhance the benefits of stress-relief, decreased muscular tension, and increased energy.

The bamboo is warmed to penetrate and relax the muscles quicker. The use of bamboo as extensions of the therapist's hands and fingers during this specialized massage will leave you feeling a deep sense of renewal. A variety of movements are used drawing from Swedish to Deep Tissue, to dissolve knots and relieve tension.

This technique includes four primary steps designed to support healthy emotional and physiological functions for well-being. Hot Towel Massage

This session will target a specific area (legs/feet; back/neck; hands/arms) and is ideal for anyone who suffers from chronic pain or limited mobility due to athletic training, repetitive movements, and/or overuse. The use of heated towels and essential oils allow the tissues to respond to the bodywork more effectively.

This technique relaxes the entire being, assisting in the letting go of old beliefs, patterns, and behaviors that cause limitations and which are stored in the cells of the body. A difference from other massage techniques is that you lay directly on the vinyl of the table and you are covered by a small sheet or towel leaving most of the body exposed during the massage, while maintaining your modesty. Under body and full strokes also help to free the energy, make the body soft while promoting free and abundant flow of life energy in the client.

Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) is a Japanese technique that is very beneficial for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Reiki is an ancient art of lying on of hands and is Japanese for "universal life energy." This healing modality is highly effective when helping release emotional stress or hypersensitive areas. This energy work does not involve soft tissue manipulation (it is not like a "regular massage").
Thai Table Yoga Massage

A dynamic bodywork therapy that combines techniques and principles from several ancient healing systems. Based in Ayurveda, during the session the practitioner guides the client through assisted yoga poses and passive stretches while applying gentle acupressure and compression massage techniques along the body's muscles and energy lines. Beneficial to those who are sore from over exertion due to physical labor or athletics, as well as those who are tired and achy from under activity due to sedentary work, illness, or injury.
Thai Table Fusion Massage

This fusion therapy incorporates Thai massage stretches and joint articulations into a Swedish or Deep Tissue massage. This session will use oil/creme and modest draping.
Reflexology for the Feet

Clinically acknowledged for its effectiveness, this very gentle massage modality is intended to encourage natural flow of lymphatic fluid within the body. Through the circulation of its fluids, the lymphatic system delivers nutrients to cells and carries away excess water and cellular waste, as well as bacteria, viruses, and other toxins. It supports the immune system and the body's ability to create and maintain balanced health.

Massage Cupping Services
Massage cupping involves the therapeutic use of plastic, silicone, or glass suction cups which create a vacuum and pull the skin and tissue up into the cup which helps move the congested fluid underneath. Cupping is used to decrease muscle tension, treat scar tissue, decrease pain and swelling due to general tension, injury, or post-surgery. Cupping is not indicated for use with an acute injury.

Oncology massage is an approach to massage therapy based in both compassion and specialized massage techniques to help guest manage their experience with cancer and improve quality of life. Benefits include improved relaxation, sleep, and immune function as well as relieving anxiety, pain, fatigue, and nausea. The treatment is modified according to the full spectrum of cancer-related issues: the physical, psycho-social as well as the emotional consequences. During an oncology massage session, the guests individual goals are considered in addition to the adverse effects of both the disease and the treatment.

The Spa is equipped to offer couples massages. Each person involved in the couples service can pick and choose the services they want and request to be in our couples massage room. If you’d like to schedule the couples services online, you must schedule each appointment individually. If you’d rather call the Spa to check schedule, please do.
When using our online booking system, couples massages must be booked as two separate appointments.
Guest 1 must be booked with Massage Therapist 1 at the desired time and Guest 2 must be booked with Massage Therapist 2 at the same desired time.
If the system does not allow two appointments at the same time, it means there are no available appointments to accommodate your request.
The Role of the Massage Therapist
A licensed massage therapist is a professional whose role is treatment and movement of soft tissues and body joints primarily by performing therapeutic massage. A licensed massage therapist may also assist in the assessment for range of motion and muscle strength, and by proposing treatment plans. The goals of therapeutic massage are general wellness, injury recovery, stress management, palliative care and preventative maintenance.
Policies for a Minor Receiving Massage Services are as follows: In an effort to uphold compliance with PA MT state regulations, in accordance with §20.42 standards of professional conduct, (a) A massage therapist shall; (21) obtain the written permission of a parent or guardian, or their representative, prior to providing massage therapy services to a minor. (22) Require that a parent or guardian, or their representative, be physically present in the room during treatment of a minor.
